Disaster Hero is a fun game which primary goal is to teach children, their parents and teachers how to deal with natural catastrophes.
Thanks to the information and quizzes it is easy for players to learn how to prepare for a natural disaster and how to deal with effects of those disasters.
Different levels of difficulty make game accessible not only to older children but also younger children and adults interested in the concept of disaster preparedness.
Minigames consist mostly of ‘spot it’ games which enhance observational skills that are useful in time of an emergency.
Trivia
The game was designed to be playable to children from all around the world (if English is not a problem). When creating avatars, children can choose skin tone and gender. Even with this differences, every player is shown as an equal.
Players can customize their own heroes. New items can be acquired with a progress of the game. Hero hangout exists to help players (mostly children) to communicate and play with each other.
