The role-playing game contains a lot of information about the many aspects to consider in evacuation planning. It is a way to get an insight into the process of evacuation and the preparation of an evacuation, without having to read all the information on the subject individually. The roles each bring in a small piece of information. While “playing”, all those pieces of information are shared. Furthermore, the playing of this game is a good way to engage students with the subject.

Gameplay

Roles are appointed by the teacher.

Participants organize evacuation routes upon reading all information needed to plan evacuation.
